Our Framework

Who This Group Is For

An eating disorder is more than just “having a hard time with food”. It often shows up in the way we think, feel and act around eating, body image, and self-worth. It might look like:

-Worrying a lot about food, weight or how your body looks.

-Avoiding or restricting food.

-Overeating or binging.

-Trying to control weight in unhealthy ways (like purging, over-exercising, or skipping meals).

-Feeling guilt, shame or anxiety after eating.

If some of this sounds familiar—or even if you’re not sure but know your relationship with food or your body weighs heavy on you—you’re welcome here.

What You Can Expect

We meet every second week for about 1 to 1.5 hours. Our time together is gentle, supportive and encouraging:

-Check-in and sharing – a chance for each of us to talk about our ups and downs since we last met.

-Short encouragement – a small reflection or message to lift and guide us.

-Prayer and support – we close with prayer for anyone who wants it, along with words of encouragement to carry into the week ahead.

What We Are (and Aren’t)

We want you to know clearly what this group is all about:

-We are a safe, caring support group—a place to walk together, listen without judgment, pray and encourage one another.

-We are not psychologists, psychiatrists or medical professionals.

-We do not replace therapy, treatment or medical care.

We’re not here to ‘fix’ anyone. Instead, we’re here to walk beside you.

Healing takes time, but you don’t have to do it alone.
